A Scammer on TikTok!

There’s a fake account on TikTok going by mirandacharlesauthor (notice the missing “P”!) pretending to be me. They’re using my videos and sliding into people’s DMs, trying to sell some sort of “marketing plan” or whatever nonsense scammers are peddling these days.

Let me be very clear:
That is NOT me. That is a scam. That is a scammer.
I would never randomly message people asking them to buy something like that.

To make things worse, I can’t report the account as impersonating me because—surprise!—they’ve blocked me. Sneaky little keyboard gremlins. I did report them while logged out, and some amazing authors have reported them too (thank you!). But unfortunately, the account is still up.

If you come across mirandacharlesauthor (with a link in bio that starts with beacon(dot)ai), please report them. That is not me. My real TikTok accounts are:
✔️ mirandapcharlesauthor
✔️ mirandapcharles_author

Huge thanks to everyone who has already helped report them. Fingers crossed TikTok gets rid of the faker soon!

Stay scam-aware and romance-loving,
Miranda xo

One Weekend in Sydney Coming Soon!

My new book, One Weekend in Sydney, will be coming out on May 16th. Surprise!

As you might know, it's part of the One Weekend series created by Lissanne Jones. The novellas are written by various romance authors and are set in different cities around the world. Of course, mine is set in Sydney, Australia, where I live.

My story is a steamy and unexpected second-chance romance with almost 32,000 words. It has no cliffhangers, and HEA is guaranteed!

Here's the book description:

I had a one-night stand with a masked stranger…and oops, it was my ex—the one I still haven’t forgiven for shattering my heart into tiny pieces.

I’m spending the weekend in Sydney for my best friend’s bachelorette party—and first on the agenda? A strip show aboard a showboat. Wild, right?

Well… not for me.

Turns out, my opponent for the upcoming mayoral election back home has spies everywhere, just waiting to catch me “misbehaving.” Apparently, being young and watching half-naked men dance is scandalous when you’re running for office. So, instead of handing him fresh ammo, my bestie and I agree—I’ll skip the show.

Plan B? A masquerade party. Alone. Mask on. No one will recognise me, especially if I call myself Juliet, my middle name.

Except… I miss my ride.

Luckily, another boat full of masked partygoers saves me. That’s where I meet Romeo. (Yes, seriously.) He’s charming, ridiculously hot under all those masks…and he makes my heart gallop in my chest with just a look—something that hasn’t happened in years.

So, one boat ride, one slow dance, and one mind-blowing night later, I’m pretty sure I’ll never forget him.

Spoiler: I won’t.

Because Romeo? Only after it’s too late do I find out who he really is.

He’s Mason. My first love. The guy who shattered my heart a decade ago and taught me exactly what kind of man not to trust.

Falling for him once was a mistake. Falling for him again?

That might just ruin everything—including my heart.

I'm so excited for you to read One Weekend in Sydney!

You can preorder it now from Amazon.

It will also be in Kindle Unlimited from its release date for a limited time.

Important News About the Moonstruck Cove Series

I have important news regarding the Moonstruck Cove series. I'm eager to make some changes to it, which means that the publication of Colton and Emory's book, Moonstruck Deal (Moonstruck Cove Book 2), will be delayed.

I've asked myself if it's really necessary to make these changes. In terms of providing you with interesting stories, probably not. But my creative mind works in a funny way. If an idea grips me tightly enough, I've learned the hard way to follow it even if it means diverging from my well-thought-out plans and schedule. Otherwise, I suffer from mental blocks and procrastination that are very hard to shift. Well, I'd been severely stuck for a good few weeks so I decided to finally act on my new thoughts.

If you've read Brax and Joey's story on Moonstruck Kiss, you will know that Moonstruck Deal is about Colton and Emory fake-dating to win against their respective exes who are dating themselves! And, oh, the stakes are high.

As I was working on the book, this new title kept popping up in my head: Battle of the Exes. I have to admit that's catchier than Moonstruck Deal.

Then this new title for Moonstruck Dance (the stand-alone novella) also sprung to mind: Dancing with the Rock Star. If you've already read it, you'll know how apt this is for Theo and Gia's story 😊.

I've received some very lovely feedback on Moonstruck Dance, and it has been suggested that this story should be a full-length novel. Since I want to change the title anyway, why not make it so?

I'm therefore making the following changes to the Moonstruck Cove series.

1. Turn Moonstruck Dance into a full-length novel (yay, more of Gia and Theo!), give it a new title, and then publish it as the new book 1 of the series.

2. Make Brax and Joey's story, Moonstruck Kiss, book 2 with a new title. I haven't settled on a final one yet, but it will include the words Single Dad.

I didn't want to leave book 2 of a series available for purchase when book 1 is not out yet (even though each book can be read as a standalone), so I've unpublished both the ebook and paperback versions of Moonstruck Kiss. (To those who've bought the paperback, your copy is now a special limited edition!)

3. Battle of the Exes, Colton and Emory's story, will become book 3. The preorder for the old title, Moonstruck Deal, has been cancelled, and I apologise to those waiting for this story. I promise it'll be worth the wait.

I'm excited to relaunch the Moonstruck Cove series in the new year! In the meantime, I'm also sprucing up a previously published series of mine. The last book in that series was actually the inspiration for the fictional small town of Moonstruck Cove. More on what I'm doing with that series in a future newsletter. Be sure to keep an eye out for it. To ensure you don't miss any updates, please subscribe to my newsletter.

By the way, if you haven't read the novella version of Moonstruck Dance yet, it's still currently FREE for a limited time. So, download it now while it's still available.

That's all for now. Thank you so much for your support!

Much love,

Miranda ❤️

Moonstruck Kiss is Out Now!

The day has come! Moonstruck Kiss is now available on Amazon and free to read in Kindle Unlimited.

Check out Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.

As a career-driven investment banker and a fish-out-of-water single dad, all I want is some help to bond with my son. I never thought that a gorgeous but smart-mouthed art teacher from a small town could have me risking my job. And, yes, my heart, too.

BRAXTON

I’m a workaholic investment banker with career goals at the forefront of my life—until I’m suddenly the sole parent of a four-year-old boy whose existence I wasn’t aware of until recently. Yup, I’m still picking myself up from the floor.

I love him already and want to bond with him, but I’m clueless when it comes to fatherhood. So, I take my son on a trip to small-town Moonstruck Cove to get a crash course from my parents on how to be a good dad.

What I don’t anticipate is my child instantly bonding with the town’s art teacher, the sassy—and beautiful—Joey Barker. It’s not ideal because that woman still holds a grudge from our clash a year ago when I was last in town.

When a potential big client decides that they want to acquire Joey’s family’s chocolatier business at any cost, I need to fire on all cylinders to keep my stellar reputation intact. But navigating secret dealings is not easy while I’m struggling to conceal my undeniable attraction for Joey.

I just hope she never finds out what I’m at pains to hide: That every time I see a smirk on that pretty face of hers, I want to wipe it off with an all-consuming kiss.

Moonstruck Kiss is a single dad, enemies to lovers, small-town romantic comedy with entertaining banter, swoonworthy sweetness, and steamy love.
